IONOS Review
IONOS grew out of the 1&1 brand and offers a wide catalogue, from low-cost shared hosting to VPS, dedicated servers and domains. Its introductory pricing is among the lowest on the market.
Our verdict
Excellent first-year value, especially if you also want domains and email from the same company. Plan the renewal cost in advance, because the second year costs far more than the introductory price.

Plans and features
Shared plans step up from Essential and Starter through Plus, the bestseller, to Ultimate, with more NVMe storage and email at each level. A free domain for the first year, SSL and professional email are part of the package.
Pricing and value
The headline $1 per month applies to the first year on a 12-month term. From year two the Plus plan renews at a much higher monthly rate, so compare the two-year cost with other providers.
IONOS plans
The $1/mo price needs a 12-month term on the Plus plan and renews at about $14/mo.
